  1. Congrats! I can only imagine what it is like to have finished not just a first, but a second. I have yet to achieve such a feat. Also, good luck with writing full time. I wish I could do the same.

  2. It’s always a bit weird reaching the finishing point isn’t it. I’ve been pointedly leaving one of my own drafts alone for a little while for much the same reason.

  3. I found that forcing oneself to not write, plot, or even think about a project is a sure way to really make yourself want to go back to it. It’s like my subconscious says, “Hey! Forbidden territory!” and makes a beeline.

    Oddly enough, finishing a book is really anticlimactic. I got more excited about realizing that I added another thousand words than looking at my paper and saying, “That’s it. That’s where it ends.”
